Gentelman Start Your Mowers.....

I have always said that if it has an engine, someone will race it sooner or later. This was the coolest thing I have ever seen. The guy was clocked at 32 MPH and he also ran a open class that looked alot like a dragster that was clocked at 41 MPH. He told me before the race on a regular track the open class rig has reached speeds of up to 50-60MPH!!! THe guy on the right has a rear engine Snapper, he would tote the front wheels for about 15 to 20 feet of the track. They race a regular circuit around Magnolia and Camden. I will post more info on the races when I get it. I hope to follow this type of racing a little because it is pretty exciting.

Two Nuts Racing

This was the best named truck at the race...Two Nuts Racing. On the drivers side door the name reads left nut and the passengers side reads right nut. The had a bit of bad luck in turn two when they laid it up onthe side. What amazed me was the amount of sportsmanship that was shown after this wreck. The truck they were racing was already int he lead but instead of racing to the finish line, they stoppedand ran back to the front of the wrecked truck and made sure that they were ok and then ran back and finished the race. Maybe the pro teams could learn from their example.

The Camo Truck!!

This was the best looking truck at the races, a professionally done camo paint scheme, unfortunatly on his second race of the day it ended up upside down in turn one. oops!

The Watermelon Crawl

This was the funniest thing that I have ever watched. The Watermelon Crawl...these girls had to use only their mouth to push the watermelon a short distance and accross the finish line. Notice my three girls on the end.

Mothers Day Winner

Here she is.....the oldest mother in attendance of the Mud Races in Fountain Hill this past weekend. Ms. Betty Carraway...Mother of Bodacious, 70 years old. Oscar Clark of Big O's Racing took her and Old Glory for a fast lap around the track. He took it is easy for the first half and then on her command he lit it up along the back straight away. Oscar had a good run this weekend but ended the day in a blaze of glory, literally. No one was hurt and that is all that matters.

Well here they are, the girls and their scooters. Which will probably be the cause of our next emergency room visit. But it will be fun. Steph go ahead and order more X-ray films. HAHA

A Good Day!!

To day was a great day...Laura has been working hard towards getting her feeding tube removes for the past several years.Come to find out she has had it for 8 years now.Well after not needing to use it for two years she has finally acheived her gaol and convinced her doctor at Childrens Hospital to take it out. So we all went to Little Rock today and the surgery nurse took it out. Now we have to wiat for the hole that it left to close up. I am so proud of her..she set her goal and acheived it. On the way home we stopped and looked at scooters for her birthday at the end of this month and of course we came home with one, but we also brought Hope one home to. I feel that it is only fair since we live in town now and cannot ride their four wheeler and we turned their golf cart into an ambulance. I will always worry about them while they are riding, I remember what it was like having the freedom of two wheels and it caused me alot of pain. Those two girls are very responsible and I hope that they stay that way. Today was also the day that I finally aquired not one but two card board cut outs, one of Dale Jr. and the other of Michael Waltrip. Even though the Jr one is not a Budweiser, it will do. I must thank Deborah for the fast talking to score the Jr. cut out and thank a very good friend for getting tthe other. THANKS!!!! Good night all.
