The Famous New York Fire Bike

fire Posted by Hello
This was my favorite bike their, it was dedicated to the fireman of FDNY after 9-11!

Orange County Choppers

OCC had their display on hand at Atlanta, here is the Jet Bike. Let me tell you, TV does not do these bikes justice. They are truly beutiful machines. True artisans build these bikes. I have more pics of their bikes that I will post later.

Road Trip-Day III

Boogity, Boggity, Boggity!!
Boy O Boy, it is tuff getting up early and heading out, but I am sure it is worth it. We left the hotel at about six AM. Brandy is walking slow today, with good reason. So we are on our way, of course a short pit stop at Burger King. We parked out by the road on the back stretch and got everything ready, the flag pole, grill etc. Hope and I piled back up in the truck and took a short nap. Recharged we headed out to the vendor area and the bathrooms. I cant believe it that for all of the people in the back stretch parking lot they only put out 6 Blue Rooms (port-o-potties), so of course, with all the beer drinking that started really early it was alot of long lines. On our way up we were given a card from GM , so we went to their tent a had our picture taken and a free ticket holder. Looked around and bought a few things and headed back. Dale showed off his tailgate culinary skills again by grilling some huge pork chops for lunch. We have to be in the stands for driver introductions or we will miss them. Hope and I stood right at the fence and watched them go by...of course alot of cheers when Jr. came by and alot of BOOS for Tony Stewart, and The Rainbow Bandit (Jeff Gordon). There was a lady standing next to us come to find out is from Fontana, CA. and she said he gets just as many or more at his home track. It must suck to get paid that much and not be liked.haha.
Then came the National Anthem, as any of you that were there or watched it on TV, this was the worst part of the day. I could not believe how bad John Micheal Montgomery sucked. First off all his singing sucked, second he had to read it from cue cards, WTF!!! I feel this was a slap in the face to our troops, this has been actually agreed to sing our National Anthem knowing he did not know the song,of course, hoping to jump start his sh%@@y career!! It was a disgrace to be a witness to his horrible performance. John Michael Montgomery- you can kiss my ASS!!
OK the first lap was a doozy, well the first 1/2 lap before the pile up on the back stretch, which was right in front of us. It was so cool, the smell of tire smoke and the sound of crunching metal, and of course seeing #24 go to the garage. For a little while anyway!! I have to say this was a good race to watch. Especially at this track. It is wonderful. Fast and Clean. Jr. still not doing so good but the season s still early. But what a finish!! That was a beutiful move Carl Edwards put on Johnson, the Ol stick and move on into the winners circle. A very brave move, it could have back-fired on him very easily. I told everyone that i felt he was a rising star, and here he is winning his first Busch and Cup race in the same weekend!!! Two back flips in two days, amazing. I love to hear his interviews, he is so energetic and responsive to the media and fans. I believe he is going to be the next Davey Allison. A good boy reputation while kicking ass on the track. Well anyway now we are kicked back watching TV at, Abduls Motor Inn / Used Camel Lot, resting. We are hopefully getting up about seven or so and head home with a quick stop at the museum in Dega. More to come on our road trip!

Road Trip-Day II

We were up and at 'em early this morning...we got up at 4:00 AM and got ready. We met Dale and Brandy on I-20 at around 5:00 and we started on the final leg of our journey to Atlanta. We went straight to our hotel, Abdul's Moter Inn and Used Camel Dealership, to let them know that it would be late due to the race not starting until 3:00. On to the track! We got there at about 8:00 and set up the grill and I helped Dale put up his flag pole, Mark "Stiffie" Martin and a NASCAR Nation flag. Dale's dad started cooking breakfeast, while Dale and I went on up and got the tickets for todays Busch Race. We got tickets on row 12-12 rows from the fence at the finisg line! I was excited, such good seats, so close-closer than we actually wanted as you will see later. As we started back to where we parked and we saw all the cool stuff-the huge Crown Royal tent, the Dewalt display and the Oarnge County Chopper display was there. I hope the pictures turn out because they had the OCC Fireman Bike, the Jet Bike, the Blues Bike, the Mikey Bike, and the POW bike. TLC does not do them justice-truly beautiful machines. We went back and ate then hit the vendors-anything NASCAR related you could buy it here, we picked up a few goodies and did alot of walking. Word of advice-always pack your own drinks-a 20 oz. coke was $4.00. Finally lunch time, Dale grilled burgers and sausage and they were good. After cleaning up after eating it was time to go to the track!!
Man this is alot better of a track than Dega, it is cleaner, the racing is faster and not as jumbled up. We wound up sitting behind some relatives of the lady that was driving the no. 7 car, Beaudreaux's Butt Cream (how F@#*!#@ funny of a name). She is from Slidell, LA. and used to be the school principal there, I cannot remember her name, but she did good even though she had a few penalties and wound up a few laps down. Jimmy Johnson, Carle Edwards and Greg Biffle was awsome! They stayed in the front most of the day. THen about lap 140 or so a car, I am not even sure which one it all happened so fast, hit the wall in front of us and shattered his brake rotor. Now those of you that know Brandy, you know she is still recovering from injuries to her right leg she got during a horrible car wreck last year. She has to have broken a mirror because all of a sudden a piece of that shattered brake rotor came down and hit her on her right thigh. Now whats the odds of this happening? So off to the the First-Aid Station, and she wound up going to the emergency room by way off ambulance just to get checked out due to her other injuries. So we packed up took off the the hospital. We listened to the race on the radio on the way to the hospital. Hell yea Carl Edwards, to bad we missed it-we would have been able to get a great pic of his back flip on the Finish Line. So once at the ER, the PA came in and everything is OK, She now is the proud owner of a huge bruise and the NASCAR guy kept the piece that hit her and told them to call him in the morning when they get to the track. So here we are checking in at Abdul's, Hope and I went down to a quick stop down the street to pick up a few things. Now keep in mind I am sure that Atlanta is probably a nice town, but we are apparently in the arm pit. The whole time we were in this all night convenience store/Barber Shop the local O-G's were comparing their weapons, I now know that one guy in particular prefers a 9MM over a 380 because P-Diddy's body gaurd carries one and it leaves a bigger hole. So we exited stage left fast as hell. As we were leaving a guy walked right up to my window, if he only knew what was waiting on him on the other side-but thank God he kept walking a we hauled ass. So know here we are getting ready for bed and another BIG day at the races. More to come later!!

Road Trip Day 1

Well hello everyone. We have made it to Anniston, AL. and stopped for the night. We will meet up with Dale and Brandy here in the morning and drive on into Atlanta for the Busch Race on Saturday. We have had a good time. Hope got very bored on the way, mostly due to the fact that we did not stop very much. When we hit Birmingham, AL. the traffic flow on I-20 was crawling, it took us almost an hour and half to go about 3 miles, then we saw what it was. A semi had a wreck then caught on fire, we took a picture when we get them developed I will try to post them. We stopped in at the Internation Motorsports Hall of Fame, but it was closed, we are going to try to stop back in Monday on our way home. So now here we sit in the Sleep Inn suffering from our meal we just had. So much for my diet that I have been doing so good at. If the meal we just ate was not enough the Bud Light chaser will surely do me in. But we must support Budweiser so they can keep supporting Jr. Deb and the girls got outside last night and painted my truck up...we have been getting thumbs up, people cheering and horns blowing all the way down here. It is amazing how popular NASCAR has become, I am beginng to beleive that it will soon be more popular than the NFL (national freak leauge). Well anyway...I am hoping for good news on Laura's try out today...I dont know about this whole cheerleader thing. It is so political and cut throat. Hopefully with the upcoming scholl board elections we can get some of the space takers off the board and put people with vision and a agenda on there to straighten things like that out. We need some new younger blood on the board to make decisions for our children with the ability to relate and understand what our schools need today! Any way enough of that garbage...go Jr!!! And to Steve...be looking for me on TV Sunday I will be waving the sign that says Stewart SUCKS!!!! More later guys.

Georgia On My Mind!!!

Deborah and I were invited to go to Atlanta to the NASCAR race with some friends this weekend and we were looking so forward to it. A chance to get away and socialize with friends and watch the race. We found out this past Monday that Laura decided to try out for the Jr. High Cheerleader squad and the try outs are this after noon! So Deb is staying behind to help Laura get ready for this, and Hope, our middle daughter is going with me, instead. I am looking forward to this...a road trip with my daughter. Even though I was hoping to be on the road by now,but my relief is running late, oh well. I am taking our laptop with me and if the hotel has net access I will try to post about our trip. Have a good weekend everyone.

Start Your Engines---HOMES!!!

Sunday March 6, 2005- EL-Nascar
I do not know what was worse-having to listen to some woman sing the Mexican National Anthem or having to hear Hanson sing ours. Hanson- WTF!!!
Only in a mexican race will you see the pit crew wearing plaid shirts with only the top button buttoned overa white "wife beater" shirt, a red bandana covering their entire forehead and wearing dark "Terminator" sun glasses! HAHA
But seriously, even though Carl Edwards had a rough time in practice he still had a good qualifying spot (9th) and had an outstanding race. Carl Edwards in on the move!
I personally do not want to see the Mexicao City race to be a permanent part of any race circuit, but I did enjoy watching the race. Mainly because it was nice to see a new road course. Martin Truex Jr. has done it again-once again showing how good he really is- a diverse driver. I also hated top see the pole setter, Jorge Goeters, go out the way he did. It would have been nice to see him finish the race. Race our guys head to head, and of course loose!!. But all in all I enjoyed the race. It was funny hearing Ariba, Ariba Ariba instead of Boggity Boggity Boggity, spelling is wrong of course but you get the picture!
