First off I would like to say that Mark Martins Craftsman Truck win was spectacular, it is easy to see his level experience and racing wisdom just by watching his pit strategies. All the younger guys need to watch and take lessons from him. i cant wait until his museum opens and the new wears off, I would really like to go check it out. I have been saying the same thing about the Clinton Library in Little Rock and still have not made it up there. As far as today's Busch Series race goes-it was spectacular! I really believe that the 500 is going to be the same way. A lot of bump drafting and refusing to give up positions will probably lead to the BIG one, and I just hope that JR. is not in it. So as I saw it the ASSHOLE OF THE RACE AWARD goes to.........Kevin Harvick. The way I saw it when the racing went three wide with Stewart on the bottom (driving a kevin harvick inc. car), Jr in the middle (still racing up front on old tires compared to everyone racing on new tires), and Waltrip on the top, all with cars behind pushing them....so we thought. After looking a little closer the car behind the No. 8 was none other than our ASSHOLE of the week, and what is he doing-backing off, hanging Jr. out to dry. Moral of the story- Mr. Harvick had three reasons to do this, his two cars that he owns that finished 1st. and 3rd. and himself. So the way I see he well deserves the ASSHOLE AWARD.

The Asshole of the Race award goes to the No. 5 Kyle Bush for his ability to piss everyone off. If the Bud Shootout was any indication as to what the rest of the season holds it will be exciting. I thought Waltrip was a little to cocky during the pre-race interveiw and then fell 4 seconds behind the leader, I was thinking DAMN. But then he came back and helped Jr. get to the front. I was so happy to see the no. 8 finish second. I have decided to start something new...I am going to start naming one driver every week The Asshole of the Race Award..............and the winner for the Bud Shootout is the no. 5 Kyle Bush. Long live the asshole...and from the way he was driving today I look to bestow this honor on him many times this year. But other than that I really enjoyed the kick off of the 2006 season. There was some beautiful racing today. Not to mention a big CONGRATS to Jeff Burton for taking the pole in the 500...it has been a long time coming for him. I believe there will be alot of teams surprising us this year...especially Petty Enterprise. i hope to make a race or two this year but with us trying to buy a house I dont know, but I will make it to Monticello Speedway as much as possible to watch Doug Baker and Jeff Marks run the dirt oval. I hope to post a few things about those races to. Until next time keep it out of the marbles.

Race Day Is Finally Here............

HELL YEAH.................

The best sport on earth is about to kick off.......NASCAR.......with the Bud Shootout!! Let me see what all has happened...
Junior is not doing so well.... Getting ready to go back to Atlanta this weekend for the race, hopefully Jr. will do ok, but if not I will be pulling for Tony Stewart. Let me say it know, shut up Sanscript, I do not want to hear it. We recently purchased a new ambulance to replace the used one that we started out with...more bills. I went scuba diving this past weekend at lake ouachita, I had a good time but diving is not as fun when you are alone..not to mention the mental aspect of being under water alone.I took some more pictures while diving I will try to post them.. hopefully I can learn to use this flicker thing it looks easier. Deborahs B-day is coming up on the 20th..hopefully my surprise for her will work out. Also Chloe, better known to us as turd juice will be 9 on the 30th. I am going to take my lap top and hopefully post while we are on the road this weekend but if not I will when I return, and with pics.

What is the world coming to oh yeah the end!! People are still so hooked on the New Orleans disaster- while listening to all the crap on the news about all the murders, rapes and looting that happened after the storm, I realized something. New Orleans, for as long as I can remember was a crime ridden town and since the disaster everyone is saying oh my god the crime rate-hell it has went down, N.O. has murder rapes and theft every day why should the bad guys take a break. No lets look at it on the flip side-a big majority of the scum and thugs have been evacuated to other parts of the country, now they can start over and let the other towns deal with the garbage. Let me stop some of you mental migits out there that is going to say "I cant believ he is talking about the evacuees like that." LISTEN UP YOU STUPID FUCK STICKS- I am not referring to all of them only the ones that I mentioned- THE SCUM AND THE THUGS. Granted their are alot of well deserving and good people that have been affected by the storm and my heart goes out to them. Anyway this is my opinion, if you dont like it, reach down and take hold of your mouse with a firm grip and shove up your ass, and then go cuddle with Jessie Jackson.

Starting New Things

Hello all, just thought I would finally post and get away from the news for a while. For those of you that did not know I took Deborah to Baton Rouge this past weekend a the request of another ambulance service that was needing additional people to staff their ambulance that is posted there for the hurricane relief. She called me as we were heading back up I 55 coming home, by the way the speed limits did not count since we met several police cars while we were running about 90, and said that they were on their way to the airport in Kenner, LA to help evacuees onto busses and planes. She said it was a sureal moment being in the same room as a soldier holding a M-16 just waiting for something to happen, I have been aroundguns and even had a couple pointed at me but never around a military presence. I am ver proud of Deborah for even wanting to go down there uch less actually going and helping, I will never be able to explain how proud of her I am, not only for this but for all she does. She is home now due to several factors, mainly the presence of ambulances are starting to scale down. The Incident Command system during this disaster is not working very well. Do not get me wrong, I am not condemning the job they are doing since a disaster this large would be extremely difficult to manage. Deb also recently started back to school, she started Paramedic school in El Dorado last week. So in one year she will be ready to go. It i going to be tough for her, she is already torn between school and the home. She has all the help that she can ever need, the girls and me. I also recently started taking internet coursed through SAU Tech in Camden. I am workiong on my Associated Degree in Fire Service Managment. I hope I can handle it.

Before ending this post Iwould like to let you all know about just some of the very special ambulance services from our state that have been helping out in New Orleans (these are just the ones that I saw while I was there): Pro Med, Ar. Childrens Hospital, Paffords, EASI, Ar. Emergency Transport, Benton County and I am sure there are countless others. Also I do not want to leave out our specialists at the Ar. Dept. of Health-EMS and Trauma Division in LittleRock for all there hard work and countless hours. Good job to all!!!

A day in Little Rock

I finally made it to Little Rock to spend the night with Chloe. It really sucks having to stay at home when one of the girls are stuck in Little Rock in the hospital. I have plenty at home to keep me busy but I cannot ever seem to get much done when one of them is in the hospital for thinking about them. Today we are going out on a 4 hour pass to see what we can get into, we just dont know what all this town has to offer. I though about the IMAX theatre but i do not think the girls would like that but we wull see. Will update later, must hose the little nasty turd down so she wull be presentable....

Headlines...

Even better reason to drink beer....more urine, more enviromental friendly power!

No more Slim Shady? Sorry but I cannot help it, this whole time managment thing is new to me and difficul to master. Anyway, I spent this whole last weekend in class, oh man that sucks. I am currently finishing up an EMT instructor class at ElDorado Fire Department, it is long but will be well worth it. I have not decidd if I am willing to tackle a EMT class just yet, but if I do it will not be until next year. During this class I have been having a hard time finding people to work while I was gone, and then last Friday Chloe had to go into the hospital taking my most dependable EMT (Deborah) out of the whole picture so she could be in Little Rock with Chloe. And to make things worse, Tim Swan, who by the way deserves a big CONGRADULATIONS on passing his Paramedic exam, was on vacation this week. But that is ok because we were able to overcome the whole staffing problem thanks to some very good friends and coworkers.

Since Db and Chloe was in Little Rock and I was off, the other two girls and I decided to go to the movies. It was a big fight, Sky High, no I want to see Skeleton Key, but I was not willing to sleep with the lights on so we went to see The Dukes of Hazard. I must admit I was not sure what to expect, you know the Dukes was THE show when I was a kid and I was afraid that they went off and ruined a classic.....wrong that was some funny shit. A less costly >alternative, said the doctor, was to go home, get a cherry bomb >(fireworks are legal in the North Georgia Mountains), light it, put it >in an empty beer can, then hold the can up to his ear and count to 10. > >The redneck said to the doctor, "I may not be the smartest man in the >world, but I don't see how putting a cherry bomb in a beer can next to >my ear is going to help me." > >"Trust me," said the doctor. > >So the man went home, lit a cherry bomb and put it in a beer can. He >held the can up to his ear and began to count: > >1 > >2 > >3 > >4 > >5 > >At which point he paused, placed the beer can between his legs, and >resumed counting on his other hand. > >This procedure also works in Kentucky, Tennessee, Mississippi, Arkansas, >West Virginia and most places in Texas. > >

Evil Meter

How evil are you?

Thats cool, I just with they would come out with a asshole meter. It is not exactly the song that I wanted but it is appropriate, since JR. raced a car with 3 Doors Down paint scheme. Thanks to Tracy for helping me with it. What a sad day in the racing community-JR finished way back in the field again. Waltrip was running good when Greg Biffle had a tire go down at put him in the wall, what a shame. I hate to see Waltrip leaving DEI, someone there needs to wake up and realize that now that he has a good crew chief and some good cars with a little time I feel like he would be one hell of a contender. But I guess they know what is best. I just hope that the rumor about NAPA going with him where ever he goes is true. Keep it out of the marbles and have a good night.

My girls hard at work on Mark Greiver. We have been trying to get our new billing system on-line and it has been slow. Also the political waters have been heating up again. For all of those out there that supports us, stand by we may be needing your help soon. The races have been going good, even though JR has not been doing well. Damn I forgot, HE FINISHED THIRD this past Sat. and Kevin SISSY BOY Harvick finished ....hell it was so far back who cares. It was one hell of a race in my opinion. I just hate the fact that Mark Martin and Waltrip were put out of the race, Martin especially. I would really like to see him with a good finish this year, and Rusty Wallace. Let them retire with a bang.

Deborah and I finally got a well deserved get away this past week. We were at the Arkansas EMT Association Conference in Hot Springs. Man it was fun. We got to visit with old friends and meet new people, got to see and use some nice new equipment coming out. We both learned alot. I attended a class on adult IO tech. More importantly Deb and I got to spend time away from the headache at work/home. Enjoy walking to Central Ave. and enjoying a relaxing, quiet meal together. While we were walking we came up on a place that has a local Blues Jam every Weds. night so we sat in and it was great. They are having their annual festival the first of September, I would not mind going. We really enjoyed the atmoshere at Schapiros, if you are ever in Hot Springs, AR give them and their nachos a try!!!

Also I have been taking SCUBA lessons at El Dorado Dive Shop and while we were in Hot Springs Steven Griever and myself certified-we are now certified nasic open water SCUBA divers. It was wonderful, it is like visiting a whole other world. We were swimming along and all kinds of fish would swim up a just watch us...like they were not scared of us. I highly reccomend diving as a family hobby, plus you can go spear fishing!! I have not been yet, but I believe it will not be to long before I sneak off to go. Well anyway I have to go now and get the grill ready, after all it is the 4th of July!! Have a safe and fun holiday!!!!

Gentelman Start Your Mowers.....

I have always said that if it has an engine, someone will race it sooner or later. This was the coolest thing I have ever seen. The guy was clocked at 32 MPH and he also ran a open class that looked alot like a dragster that was clocked at 41 MPH. He told me before the race on a regular track the open class rig has reached speeds of up to 50-60MPH!!! THe guy on the right has a rear engine Snapper, he would tote the front wheels for about 15 to 20 feet of the track. They race a regular circuit around Magnolia and Camden. I will post more info on the races when I get it. I hope to follow this type of racing a little because it is pretty exciting.

Two Nuts Racing

This was the best named truck at the race...Two Nuts Racing. On the drivers side door the name reads left nut and the passengers side reads right nut. The had a bit of bad luck in turn two when they laid it up onthe side. What amazed me was the amount of sportsmanship that was shown after this wreck. The truck they were racing was already int he lead but instead of racing to the finish line, they stoppedand ran back to the front of the wrecked truck and made sure that they were ok and then ran back and finished the race. Maybe the pro teams could learn from their example.

<img border='0' style='border:1px solid #000000; No one was hurt and that is all that matters.

Well here they are, the girls and their scooters. So we all went to Little Rock today and the surgery nurse took it out. Now we have to wiat for the hole that it left to close up. I am so proud of her..she set her goal and acheived it. On the way home we stopped and looked at scooters for her birthday at the end of this month and of course we came home with one, but we also brought Hope one home to. I feel that it is only fair since we live in town now and cannot ride their four wheeler and we turned their golf cart into an ambulance. I will always worry about them while they are riding, I remember what it was like having the freedom of two wheels and it caused me alot of pain. Those two girls are very responsible and I hope that they stay that way. Today was also the day that I finally aquired not one but two card board cut outs, one of Dale Jr. and the other of Michael Waltrip. Even though the Jr one is not a Budweiser, it will do. I must thank Deborah for the fast talking to score the Jr. cut out and thank a very good friend for getting tthe other. THANKS!!!! Good night all.

still here, just busy.

Sorry for not posting in a while, we have been very busy around here lately. We have been getting our new billing process situated and is going great by the way. We also started teaching a first responder class for the local fire departments, very time consuming getting that ready. And now today we are going to Dermott to help test their EMT class that two of our employees, Heat and Drew have been going to. So hopefully we will have two new EMT's very soon. We are also proud to announce that we have hired a new full time EMT that is about to finish Paramedice school up, so we will have another full time medic soon, glad to have Tim Swan on board. I have also been working on our golf cart that has a stretcher mount on it for use at the World Famous Armidillo Festival and we are going to use it at football games and such to keep from haveing to drive the trucks out on the field. I will post a picture when I have it finished soon. Be sure to come out to the festival to hear Chester and the Wild Dogs, our friend Phillip Austin plays lead guitar for them and I really beleive that it will be a wonderful show to see. They are also planning a mock accident scene at the festival but I do not know if it will come together in time. I promise to get bettter on the posting thing.

Kevin the CHEATER!!!!

<img style="BORDER-RIGHT: #000000 1px solid; We left the hotel at about six AM. Brandy is walking slow today, with good reason. So we are on our way, of course a short pit stop at Burger King. We parked out by the road on the back stretch and got everything ready, the flag pole, grill etc. Hope and I piled back up in the truck and took a short nap. Recharged we headed out to the vendor area and the bathrooms. I cant believe it that for all of the people in the back stretch parking lot they only put out 6 Blue Rooms (port-o-potties), so of course, with all the beer drinking that started really early it was alot of long lines. On our way up we were given a card from GM , so we went to their tent a had our picture taken and a free ticket holder. Looked around and bought a few things and headed back. Dale showed off his tailgate culinary skills again by grilling some huge pork chops for lunch. We have to be in the stands for driver introductions or we will miss them. Hope and I stood right at the fence and watched them go by...of course alot of cheers when Jr. came by and alot of BOOS for Tony Stewart, and The Rainbow Bandit (Jeff Gordon). There was a lady standing next to us come to find out is from Fontana, CA. and she said he gets just as many or more at his home track. It must suck to get paid that much and not be liked.haha.
Then came the National Anthem, as any of you that were there or watched it on TV, this was the worst part of the day. I could not believe how bad John Micheal Montgomery sucked. First off all his singing sucked, second he had to read it from cue cards, WTF!!! I feel this was a slap in the face to our troops, this has been actually agreed to sing our National Anthem knowing he did not know the song,of course, hoping to jump start his sh%@@y career!! It was a disgrace to be a witness to his horrible performance. John Michael Montgomery- you can kiss my ASS!!
OK the first lap was a doozy, well the first 1/2 lap before the pile up on the back stretch, which was right in front of us. It was so cool, the smell of tire smoke and the sound of crunching metal, and of course seeing #24 go to the garage. For a little while anyway!! I have to say this was a good race to watch. Especially at this track. It is wonderful. Fast and Clean. Jr. still not doing so good but the season s still early. But what a finish!! That was a beutiful move Carl Edwards put on Johnson, the Ol stick and move on into the winners circle. A very brave move, it could have back-fired on him very easily. I told everyone that i felt he was a rising star, and here he is winning his first Busch and Cup race in the same weekend!!! Two back flips in two days, amazing. I love to hear his interviews, he is so energetic and responsive to the media and fans. I believe he is going to be the next Davey Allison. A good boy reputation while kicking ass on the track. Well anyway now we are kicked back watching TV at, Abduls Motor Inn / Used Camel Lot, resting. We are hopefully getting up about seven or so and head home with a quick stop at the museum in Dega. More to come on our road trip!

Road Trip-Day II

We were up and at 'em early this morning...we got up at 4:00 AM and got ready. We met Dale and Brandy on I-20 at around 5:00 and we started on the final leg of our journey to Atlanta. We went straight to our hotel, Abdul's Moter Inn and Used Camel Dealership, to let them know that it would be late due to the race not starting until 3:00. On to the track! We got there at about 8:00 and set up the grill and I helped Dale put up his flag pole, Mark "Stiffie" Martin and a NASCAR Nation flag. Dale's dad started cooking breakfeast, while Dale and I went on up and got the tickets for todays Busch Race. We got tickets on row 12-12 rows from the fence at the finisg line! I was excited, such good seats, so close-closer than we actually wanted as you will see later. As we started back to where we parked and we saw all the cool stuff-the huge Crown Royal tent, the Dewalt display and the Oarnge County Chopper display was there. I hope the pictures turn out because they had the OCC Fireman Bike, the Jet Bike, the Blues Bike, the Mikey Bike, and the POW bike. TLC does not do them justice-truly beautiful machines. We went back and ate then hit the vendors-anything NASCAR related you could buy it here, we picked up a few goodies and did alot of walking. Word of advice-always pack your own drinks-a 20 oz. coke was $4.00. Finally lunch time, Dale grilled burgers and sausage and they were good. After cleaning up after eating it was time to go to the track!!
Man this is alot better of a track than Dega, it is cleaner, the racing is faster and not as jumbled up. We wound up sitting behind some relatives of the lady that was driving the no. 7 car, Beaudreaux's Butt Cream (how F@#*!#@ funny of a name). She is from Slidell, LA. and used to be the school principal there, I cannot remember her name, but she did good even though she had a few penalties and wound up a few laps down. Jimmy Johnson, Carle Edwards and Greg Biffle was awsome! They stayed in the front most of the day. THen about lap 140 or so a car, I am not even sure which one it all happened so fast, hit the wall in front of us and shattered his brake rotor. Now those of you that know Brandy, you know she is still recovering from injuries to her right leg she got during a horrible car wreck last year. She has to have broken a mirror because all of a sudden a piece of that shattered brake rotor came down and hit her on her right thigh. Now whats the odds of this happening? So off to the the First-Aid Station, and she wound up going to the emergency room by way off ambulance just to get checked out due to her other injuries. So we packed up took off the the hospital. We listened to the race on the radio on the way to the hospital. Hell yea Carl Edwards, to bad we missed it-we would have been able to get a great pic of his back flip on the Finish Line. So once at the ER, the PA came in and everything is OK, She now is the proud owner of a huge bruise and the NASCAR guy kept the piece that hit her and told them to call him in the morning when they get to the track. So here we are checking in at Abdul's, Hope and I went down to a quick stop down the street to pick up a few things. Now keep in mind I am sure that Atlanta is probably a nice town, but we are apparently in the arm pit. The whole time we were in this all night convenience store/Barber Shop the local O-G's were comparing their weapons, I now know that one guy in particular prefers a 9MM over a 380 because P-Diddy's body gaurd carries one and it leaves a bigger hole. So we exited stage left fast as hell. As we were leaving a guy walked right up to my window, if he only knew what was waiting on him on the other side-but thank God he kept walking a we hauled ass. So know here we are getting ready for bed and another BIG day at the races. More to come later!!

Road Trip Day 1

Well hello everyone. We have made it to Anniston, AL. and stopped for the night. We will meet up with Dale and Brandy here in the morning and drive on into Atlanta for the Busch Race on Saturday. We have had a good time. Hope got very bored on the way, mostly due to the fact that we did not stop very much. When we hit Birmingham, AL. the traffic flow on I-20 was crawling, it took us almost an hour and half to go about 3 miles, then we saw what it was. A semi had a wreck then caught on fire, we took a picture when we get them developed I will try to post them. We stopped in at the Internation Motorsports Hall of Fame, but it was closed, we are going to try to stop back in Monday on our way home. So now here we sit in the Sleep Inn suffering from our meal we just had. So much for my diet that I have been doing so good at. If the meal we just ate was not enough the Bud Light chaser will surely do me in. But we must support Budweiser so they can keep supporting Jr. Deb and the girls got outside last night and painted my truck up...we have been getting thumbs up, people cheering and horns blowing all the way down here. It is amazing how popular NASCAR has become, I am beginng to beleive that it will soon be more popular than the NFL (national freak leauge). Well anyway...I am hoping for good news on Laura's try out today...I dont know about this whole cheerleader thing. It is so political and cut throat. Hopefully with the upcoming scholl board elections we can get some of the space takers off the board and put people with vision and a agenda on there to straighten things like that out. We need some new younger blood on the board to make decisions for our children with the ability to relate and understand what our schools need today! Any way enough of that garbage...go Jr!!! And to Steve...be looking for me on TV Sunday I will be waving the sign that says Stewart SUCKS!!!! More later guys.

Georgia On My Mind!!!

Deborah and I were invited to go to Atlanta to the NASCAR race with some friends this weekend and we were looking so forward to it. A chance to get away and socialize with friends and watch the race. We found out this past Monday that Laura decided to try out for the Jr. High Cheerleader squad and the try outs are this after noon! So Deb is staying behind to help Laura get ready for this, and Hope, our middle daughter is going with me, instead. I am looking forward to this...a road trip with my daughter. Even though I was hoping to be on the road by now,but my relief is running late, oh well. I am taking our laptop with me and if the hotel has net access I will try to post about our trip. Have a good weekend everyone.

Start Your Engines---HOMES!!!

Sunday March 6, 2005- EL-Nascar
I do not know what was worse-having to listen to some woman sing the Mexican National Anthem or having to hear Hanson sing ours. Hanson- WTF!!!
Only in a mexican race will you see the pit crew wearing plaid shirts with only the top button buttoned overa white "wife beater" shirt, a red bandana covering their entire forehead and wearing dark "Terminator" sun glasses! HAHA
But seriously, even though Carl Edwards had a rough time in practice he still had a good qualifying spot (9th) and had an outstanding race. Carl Edwards in on the move!
I personally do not want to see the Mexicao City race to be a permanent part of any race circuit, but I did enjoy watching the race. Mainly because it was nice to see a new road course. Martin Truex Jr. has done it again-once again showing how good he really is- a diverse driver. I also hated top see the pole setter, Jorge Goeters, go out the way he did. It would have been nice to see him finish the race. Race our guys head to head, and of course loose!!. But all in all I enjoyed the race. It was funny hearing Ariba, Ariba Ariba instead of Boggity Boggity Boggity, spelling is wrong of course but you get the picture!

cool games!!

Check out these other cool games that I found...Beach Squirter Granted we may not all feel this way but I do...and even if I did not I would never say anything negative about the war in Iraq because in my opinion any negative remarks about the war effort is a negative remark towards our soldiers that are in harms way! This caught my eye while reading. The story about the space shuttle exploding seconds after take off. Well I remember this very well, we were living in our house in Lake Village at the time and I was at home that day sick. I was watching the shuttle launch on the satellite, not the miny dishes we have now the huge eight foot 8-track version back when you did not have to pay for programming. I watched it on live TV explode, that was the most horrific thing I had ever watched. It was strange to see something like that, any other time I would have been at school and would have never seen it. Strange how things work. And now just in the past few years it has happened again...a big high five for any one that has the nads to do what they do!! Anyway 18 days till we here DW say Bogitty..bogitty..bogitty. Cant wait, I now have two #8 display cars and they both will be in the room with me when the green flag drops and the bullshit stops! We have one of the newest mud tracks on the circuit, Ashley County Mud Racing, owned by Ronnie McDougald. This track is some of our old stomping ground (Fountain Hill Alumni). This track has six races scheduled for this year and will host the championship race. I am very excited about this new track. We will be posting an ambulance at these races, just in case. I encourage anyone who has never been to a mud race to attend these races this year to support this sport inour county. Hopefully they will install a sand drag in the future, now that would be fun! Hope to see everyone there!!!

Ignorance In The (local) Media

Well it is a good thing that Ms. Kelley is doing this article with fictious names. This is a good thing for her...due to the fact that we do not know who the people are and will not know how bad she screws up the article. I am so hard on this reporter due to the fact that she sat next to where I was standing while addressing the Ashley County Q. Court and did not get anything right. In the future when I have to speak in front of people such as this and she is their, I plan to ask Mr. Moyers or Steve Sanders from the Ashley County Ledger (kick ass news paper and website) to proof read her article to make sure she has her head out of her ass. The part that bothers me the most is that I called The Ashley News Disturber twice to hopefully correct ignorant, but they would never return my call, and reprinted the same mistakes numerous times. My advice.. pay attention, it is your job to report the truch not whatever crap you can pull out of your ass Ms. Kelley. While cruising the net tonight I happened upon a few funny and interesting things that I wanted to share with everyone. Shadow Haze has probably the funniest family photo album in the world (I think I recognized a few of the people). Now this is what I call a fun drinking game...not! This should be the video for the Cranberries song Zombie..cool but almost scary! This is a golden oldie..Why Palenstinians Throw Rocks sad but true. This is not good. I know I am probaly going to hell for this one but damn its funny...Little Stud Muffin. These kids would make Sytem of A Down very proud..which by the is probably one of the coolest songs ever!!! Some last minute auditions for Viva La Bam. Our nations future leaders, makes me want to defect. "O" the perfect Christmas gift!!! Well anyway enough of that..just some funny stuff I wanted to share. Have a good weekend all, we are going out of town Saturday, see everyone Monday!!!

Yes I am still alive!!

Hello all, and yes I am still alive. Apparently no one has accepted the bounty on me as of yet (haha). Once again I am sorry about the lack of posts....been very busy and do not see any relief in sight. I spoke to Judge Austin today and he said that the jail site is getting started just fine, after the groundbreaking formalities and such. I picked up the Crossett paper a few minutes ago and seen the lady with sewer problems on the front page...a must read...possibly a good post or two from that article. Our membership drive officially started and we have been busy. The good news....the county will be starting on the dirt work for the new jail. I am sorry, but the past several days have been horrible. Problem after problem. We hopefully will have some good news sometime next week, if we are lucky. Plus we are way behind on a few things. Our membership drive is going to start in Feb. and we are just now getting started on everything!!!! And with the way things have been going we need this membership drive to be successful. Enough of that.
My Opinion.....everyone is doing lists, so I thought I would do one....a list of things that I think suck and if I was in charge would be done away with!!

1.Blue Cross Blue Shield
2.Computer viruses
3.People who create said viruses
4.Blue Cross Blue Shield
5.Telemarketers
6.Stupid people-never mind the world would be underpopulated if done away with
7.High cost of health care-Blue Cross Blue Shield
(there is a pattern here if you have not noticed)
8.Certain political figures-guess who!
9.Poverty
10.Assholes!!!

In case you did not catch on I really think BC/BS sucks the most.

Now I would like to say job well done to the Ashley County Quorum Court and the Jail Committee for their hard work and dedication to the new jail. If every one would go on a tour of the existing jail they would immediatly see why a new, modern jail is needed. I still feel that Ideal Construction does not need anything to do with this project, but that is my opinion.

Also congratulations to Dane Weindorf on his appointment to the Hamburg School Board to fill Betty Timmons position until the election.

In case you have noticed I only link to the Ashley County Ledger. I would like to explain this, The News Observer's web site sucks!! It is usually at least two weeks behind, at a minimum. Keep up the good work Ledger!!
Anyway have a good day folks!!!

My Beautiful Chloe

These are some interesting articles I found today:

1.For the ice cream lover:Ice cream flavors from Japan, spinach, garlic, tomato, seaweed, oyster, red wine, goat, chicken, lettuce, potato, wheat, shark fin, and something called RAW HORSE FLESH. This would explain why they always seem angry when speaking in their native language.

2.This one is for the coffee lover: There's an ultaexpensive coffee called Kopi Luwak which is derived from beans that have been eaten and excreted by civet cats in Indonesia. Now there's a journey the beans take through the civet's body. First, the civet instinctively chooses the ripest beans. Then digestive biochemicals penetrate the outer layer of the bean as it passes through the GI tract. Internal fermentation by digestive enzymes adds a unique flavor, a earthy, musty, smooth and rich with jungle and chocolate undertones. Now what does a jungle undertone?

3.A surgeon whose medical license was revoked in 1977, but who continued to practice on the dark side, was convicted of second-degree murder for a botched operation that brought to light the rare malady of apotemnophilla. I see no monster. I see an expectant mother thanking the man who just saved her life and the life of her children. The back story is that when firefighters arrived at a house fire they found noone at home except a pregnant doberman who could not get of the burning house. The fireman seen in the picture rescued the dog, even though he was not comfortable around these type of dogs, due to the fact that he had never been around one. After they were through fighting the fire the fireman was taking a break when he noticed the dog watching him, she then approached him, as he started petting her, she reached up and gave him kiss. That in My Opinion would be the greatest expression of gratitude you could receive. Now show me the monster. As the bumper sticker I saw read...Ban The Deed, Not The Breed! In my opinion the true monster breed of dogs are those damn Taco Bell dogs, i hate them damn things.

I received this in an email. But I have decided to start My Opinion. I am going to try to offer My Opinions on a daily basis, hopefully something new everyday.
Todays My Opinions: Movie hits for the new year.

1.The Longest Yard, the original was great and I believe the remake is going to be even better.

2.The Pink Panther, it just gets better and better with age. This is excerpts from a journal that I kept while we were there. Please enjoy. Here is the article that Heath wrote:

A NEW MEMORYSick girl has wish grantedBy HEATH WALDROPManaging editor
A small crowd gathered in a parking lot in Crossett on Sunday, anxiously awaiting a special arrival. All of the elements for a party to be thrown in the guest’s honor were in place.Within minutes a white stretch limousine could be seen in the distance.“I see it,” someone said. “She’s here!”The luxurious vehicle pulled up and came to a halt. Hushed onlookers watched as the door opened.Out stepped not a famous entertainer or any well-known celebrity, but instead a six-year-old girl battling a terminal illness—carrying with her a bouquet of red roses and a meek smile.•••Chloe Shaver of Crossett has cystic fibrosis. The red carpet treatment came courtesy of the Make-a-Wish Foundation, which recently selected her for a trip to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla., and a big send-off party. While known about by the girl’s parents for a couple of weeks, the all-expenses-paid vacation, along with the party, had to be kept secret from young Chloe.“It has been really hard not to say anything,” mother Deborah Shaver said. South Arkansas Make-a-Wish coordinators Judy Lovett and Beverly Rice were responsible for organizing the event, and for designing excuses to get the girl from her house to party central at McDonald’s without raising suspicions in her six-year-old brain.“She just thinks its Chloe Day. She doesn’t know,” Lovett said, before the trip to Orlando was revealed.Though both Lovett and Rice are from Ashley County, Chloe was the first child from here that they have given a party for. They have been involved with Make-a-Wish for a year and have thrown five parties in all, including Chloe’s.Through recommendations from their doctors, young people who have life-threatening illnesses are selected by Make-a-Wish to have their greatest wishes come true. Lovett said that each wish normally amounts to between $5,000 and $10,000, and that does not include the hoarde of presents donated by local businesses nor the volunteer hours put in by coordinators.Naturally, some wishes simply cannot be made reality, but Lovett said that the foundation goes to great lengths to try.“We go out and interview the child and find out what they want,” Lovett said. The requests are then reviewed by the regional Make-a-Wish office and certain ones are granted. If a child’s greatest wish cannot be fulfilled, an alternative is granted.Chloe had asked for a trip to Walt Disney World—the most popular wish granted, according to the organization. This weekend, she will be going, along with her immediate family members. The Make-a-Wish Foundation will foot the bill for all of them. The trip seemed only icing on the cake for the young girl, and not the cake itself. She was picked up by the limo from her home and was taken to a local salon for a beauty treatment, including hair, make-up and nails.“She is too beautiful,” Mrs. Shaver said, upon seeing her. But she expressed a slight concern.“You didn’t pick up any frogs in your pretty dress, did you?”Chole’s father Shannon Shaver offered an explanation for the inquiry.“When we were building our house, she’d go around collecting frogs,” he said. “She’d have them in her pockets and in her hair.”A quick check revealed no frogs. But there was a prince. Chloe arrived escorted by by the sharply-dressed Clayton Douglas, the young son of Mark and Dana Douglas of Crossett, who is a close friend.(He is not a boyfriend, according to Dana Douglas...although he quietly admitted to his mother that Chloe was “pretty” when he saw her in a lavender gown, feather boa and sunglasses.)Surrounded by friends and family, the girl had lunch at McDonald’s, and there received an unexpected visit from one of her favorite cartoon characters, SpongeBob SquarePants. The costumed actor led the group of children in a game, imitating TV show themes and having them guess what they were.Things just got more exciting from there for the Shaver girl, as presents were produced.“You want to give Chloe her gifts now?” Rice asked.“Yaaaaaay!” is all that the girl said in response.Toys, clothes and other gifts were revealed and stacked in front of young Chloe, with each of them garnering a strong reaction.“Momma, you won’t believe it!” Chloe exclaimed. Deborah Shaver simply nodded and smiled. The girl opened many gifts, including some stuff related to “Heh-wee Pottuh” (six-year-old talk for “Harry Potter”) and Barbie, and an item that has become an American cultural symbol, tiny shorts with the word “SPOILED” stamped across the back.Despite the party, presents and fanfare, Chloe still never guessed that the grand prize was forthcoming. Even a T-shirt with her name on the front and “Make-a-Wish” on the back yielded no clues.Lovett, however, nearly gave away the big secret after Chloe opened a camera.“You can take pictures of Minnie Mouse!” Lovett exclaimed.Rice punched her in the arm to call attention to the faux pas.“...Uh, maybe,” Lovett stammered. She laughed as she realized her mistake.”Well, there’s always got to be one in the crowd,” she said. Finally, the biggest gift of them all was handed over...but not without a little build-up.Rice approached Chloe. “Today is your day,” she said. “Now what is it that you want more than anything else?”The little girl gave a blank stare. Her older sister stepped in. “Remember when those people came and asked you all those questions? Remember what you asked for?” she said.“To go to Disney World, or if I can’t go there, to the beach,” Chloe answered.“So where does that mean you want to go?” Rice asked.A short pause ensued before the girl answered. “The beach?” •••Cystic fibrosis is a genetic lung disease that affects about 30,000 children nationwide. The reason why only children are named in the statistics is because the majority do not live to see adulthood.Deborah Shaver said that most CF victims do not live past the age of 20. She should know: she has become a rather unwilling expert on CF since not only Chloe, but also her oldest daughter Laura, both suffer from the disease.“Cystic fibrosis is a progressive terminal disease. She’ll get worse and worse,” Mrs. Shaver said of Chloe. When Laura, now grade-school-aged, was diagnosed, Deborah Shaver was not so well informed about CF.“I didn’t know anything about it and had never even heard of it,” Shaver said. When Laura’s illness still had not been diagnosed, doctors told the Shavers that it was one of three different possibilities. Mrs. Shaver falsely assumed that CF was the least serious of the three.“When the doctor positively identified it as cystic fibrosis, I said ‘Oh good, it isn’t the bad one,’” Shaver said. She was forced to learn quickly just how serious the problem was, and still is.The illness skipped over their next child (who is, appropriately, named “Hope”). But the second blow came a few years later when Chloe was born. She tested positively for the disease at only 13 weeks old.“On Friday the 13th,” Shannon Shaver said.“Even when I was pregnant with her, I knew she was going to be positive,” Deborah Shaver said. “It’s just a momma thing.”Just by looking at Chloe, you would never be able to tell that her body is trying to fight off a tremendously powerful disease. On Sunday she looked like any other normal six-year-old girl playing dress-up at a party. But she has to be monitored closely. She can’t get too active because she can’t overheat. That could overwork her delicate lungs and trigger the fits of coughing and shortness of breath. That in turn could lead to a myriad of other physical problems, including life-threatening infections.“We can have a great day and then she’ll cough, and [Shannon and I] will both look at each other,” Deborah Shaver said.To help cope with these issues, Chloe takes an oral medication in the form of a large capsule that her mother easily produces from a pants pocket. But this amounts to treating the symptoms rather than the disease itself. The girl will start public school in the fall and that will provide additional complications. Older sister Laura misses about 70 days a year, according to her mother, for hospital visits. Chloe can expect to miss about the same.Hospital visits are a constant. In fact, Chloe is set to go into Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock for therapy for a couple of weeks as soon as the family returns from the Walt Disney World trip. One form of treatment is to affix her with a vest that rattles loose the heavy mucus lung blockages.Obviously, constant hosptial visits, close monitoring of the children and medical treatment is very expensive. But the Shavers said that they have accepted their station in life.“We can’t sit around and have a big pity party,” Mrs. Shaver said. “She doesn’t. Look at her, she looks great.“Every day is a new memory.”•••Rice and Lovett got involved with Make-a-Wish when Rice became aware of the foundation through her workplace. South Arkansas was in need of coordinators; the closest ones to this area were stationed in Little Rock. The two are responsible for the initial interviews, for drumming up the local donations and for making all of the party arrangements, which can amount to quite a bit of work in the short time between when Make-a-Wish announces a selection and when the party occurs. The volunteer efforts are rewarding, they said, when they see the smiles as wishes are granted. While Rice and Lovett do not make contact with the families of the children after the wishes have been granted, they do not discourage the families from contacting them.“If I get too emotionally involved, it’s too hard,” Lovett said. “Knock on wood, all of the children who we have interviewed for Make-a-Wish Foundation are doing OK.” The coordinators considered Sunday’s venture a big success because Chloe Shaver was so surprised about her party, presents and trip to Walt Disney World. Normally comfortable as the center of attention, she was somewhat shy and reserved at first but warmed up to her surrondings later.“She had no idea that she was going to have a party, so I think she was a little taken by all of this,” Deborah Shaver said.During all of the fun and laughter, though, the Shavers got a reality check. Mrs. Shaver overheard daughter Laura in the bathroom, coughing and hacking in a reminder of the illness from which she suffers. She rushed in to check on her. The quick attack turned out to be routine.“That’s what we deal with,” she said, returning. “It’s just what you have to do.”

6-28-03 Saturday
We started out on our trip this morning, going to Little Rock to spend the night before flying to Orlando tommorrow morning. When we arrived at our hotel we were just sitting around kinda bored, thinking about what we were going to eat. Then we decided to go to the IMAX Theater to see "Helicopters in Action". Man was this place cool...they had vintage airplanes in the lobby and all sorts of other neat things to look at. We finally went into the theater and there it was..the mother of all TV's. Sixty foot tall and seventy feet wide and a 10,000 watt surround sound system. The whole time while I was waiting on the movie to start, all I could think about was what would it be like to hook the 'ol PS2 up to this baby. Anyway the movie started. It was amazing, it showed all types of helicopters at work, logging, rescue, and military. Probably the neatest one was the ones that they use to work on high voltage electrical lines. And then, there it was, the answer to the most important question of the day...Where in a town the sizew of Little Rock would we find anything to eat? On the huge screen in front of us the advertisement for the GOLDEN CORRAL. But now that the secret dining location was revealed to everyone, would we be able to get a table! Se here we go weaving and swerving in and out of the Little Rock traffic like Mario Andretti in his race car. Now let me tell you that this is a task when you are driving a tank ar ass Deborah calls it her truck, (A Chevy TrailBlazer XT), but as anyone that knows Deborah , you cannot argue with her. Well we finally arrived....a huge feast awatied us (along with about 300 other people). So there we set, eating till our hearts were content. We then headed bak to the hotel to prepare for our long journey in the morning....

more to come!

2004...What A Year

2004 is closing fast..hell it even went by fast. This year has been full of exciting and emotional events. Lets see, this year we have lost Rick James, ODB, Dimebag Darrell (tragic), Ray Charles-he will always be remembered, Johnny Ramone (who?), Laura Branigan (Gloria...Gloria), Marlon Brando-he has always scared me, Christopher Reeve who wished he was Christopher Walken (thats wrong), and the knig of no respect-Rodney Dangerfield, and not to mention the hereos-our sons and daughter, fathers and brothers who are in harms way as we sit here and enjoy our freedom-Our Troops that have gave the ultimate sacrifice. It has been an interesting year for lying-I am sorry I meant politics, another four years with Bush-considering the choices I think we are better off. Jacko has been in the news alot, finally being brought to justice for being a freak. While we are on the subject-to Mark Peterson you gonna fry buddy.

Music-WOW.Eminem's Mosh kicked ass this year, and so did Greendays American Idiot. Keep it up guys. The movies of 2004 were great as well, I cant wait to see Napoleon Dynamite. The Blogs-Hats off to Brad the host with the most-posts that is. Congrats to Chuck on his promotion, and to Stephanie for having the coolest sister! Hopefully 2005 will be the year that all the nay sayers will get onboard with Stephanie's wonderfull idea for the memorial garden, excellent idea.
2004 is the year that two good friends of ours from Childrens Hospital that Laura and Deborah got to know got new lungs. They both have Cystic Fibrosis and are doing great with their new air bags. Long live George and Jarred!!! This year has also been a very busy year for us as well. In August, thanks to the support of our friends and the community, we were able to start our ambulance service...SouthArk EMS. I would like to giva a big thanks to everyone who has and continues to support us...and to everyone that opposes us for the free publicity.HAHA. Put that in your ass and smoke it! Sorry I had to. Once again thanks everyone, and I hope that 2005 will be even more rewarding to everyone!!!! Happy New Year!

Interesting............

I found this article interesting..............It is about the Bentonville Fire Cheif who was fired partly for a contract that he signed with a fire equipment company for a questionable $50,000.00. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the food, gathering with friends, watching Frank Cappra's (misspelled) Its A Wonderful Life, which for me is the highlight of the holiday season. What I do not like is the gotta have more gifts, spend more money than they do. Why cant we go back a few years, sit around with friends and family, drink hot chocolate and egg nog (leaded or unleaded), and just enjoy the season. People put to much emphasis on gifts and such. I can remember when I was really young we would gather up somewhere different every year on Christmas Eve and someone would dress up like Santa, boy I miss that. Now I seldom see any of my family, holidays do not matter to my parents that much, or if they do they don't ever show it. But that is ok. I just hope that I am setting the right example for my children. I want them to feel wanted at my house on Christmas Eve and have some type of tradition for the holidays. Last year we stayed home on Thanksgiving and Christmas, we had our own turkey at our house with no arguing, showing off, or attitude from anyone. Man I enjoyed that. This year with me having to work the holidays just were not the same. A friend of mine asked me, back before we started the ambulance service, do you have any idea what kind of sacrifices you are going to have to make? I did not then, but I do now. Deborah and I work all the time, but the biggest sacrifice was made by our girls, with little complaining I might add. On Christmas Day I had to take a transfer from Pine Bluff back to Monticello, the girls did not complain. Even when we have to change our plans to accommodate work they don't complain. I love those girls....if I had to name someone I thought of as a hero, I would have to say Laura, Hope and Chloe. Laura and Chloe for their strong determination and strength for battleing with their illness and long hospital stays...Courage beyond their years. I have to say Hope for being our rock, the one who holds us together. Hope has more patience and will than anyone I know. She helps me while the other girls are in the hospital and Deborah is driving back and forth between the hospital and work. Hope does all this while reminding Laura or Chloe, whoever is not in the hospital, to take their meds or do their homework while helping me keep the house clean. She does all of this and never complains. Who said heroes have to be cowboys. I am sorry for the rambling but when I started typing it just came out....Thanks for listening.

Should have never happened

As you can see from the tire marks on the door Mr. Gordon wanted Dale Jr.'s autograph. Unfortunatly due to the new rules Gordon won this race. The Aarons 499 at Dega this year. But the man in red made a come back later in the year at the same track, the EA Sports 500, the race that cost him 50 points. All because NBC is to lazy to have the 7 second delay on live events and Jr. was excited, with good reason, and said shit. If you ask me that is Bull Shit. My question is since the council, Jimmy Launius, and the mayors main concerns are workmans comp, deciding who someone is working for at different times, and a "Buffer Period" before returning to Crossett Fire Department for duty, is what about the city employees who are members of vol. fire departments. These individuals could become injured while fighting a fire then return to work at CFD, (oh, I forgot, that is a gray area according to Mr. Hamilton). What about the "buffer period", these employees could very well be out all night fighting a fire and return to duty at CFD "dragging". So my question is, with the new changes will Crossett employees only be allowed to be members of other fire departments outside Ashley County. Now the workmans comp-the only gray area is in Mr. Hamiltons head. When an employee becomes injured, and hopefully these people have enough sense to realize when they are injured, it is up to them to notify the entity that they are working for at the time of the injury. I sure hope that Leeco Fire hurries up and send that agreement abouth the workmans comp to the city so Jimmy does not have to miss out on selling CFD any more trucks or equipment. But if he does maybe, just maybe, his dad will help him out. What I am referring to is the fact that Ol' Jim's dad sells CFD all of their radio equipment and maintains the equipment (if that is what you call it). I have never seen a conflict of interest in person, but I think that may be what one looks like. My final point is...............WHY in the hell did this become an issue, it never has been until July of this year, I forgot again that is when the County approved our proposal.

oops!!!!

Just thought this was funny. That is why I think we will see that big red chevy Bud machine sitting in the winners circle with the Nextel/Sprint/Summers Eve/Kotex Cup or what ever it will be called, in the near future. JR. had one hell of a year in 04 and I bet 05 will be even better. Even with a total of 50 points deducted he still finished 5th in the series. I was fortunate enough this year, thanks to my beutiful wife, to be sitting in the Tri-Oval Tower at Dega this year for the Aarons 500. I was able to witness not one but two of the best races possible. The sat. Busch Race where Jr. was pushing Truex around the track and to Victory Lane, not only for the race but the season. It was spectacular, Jr.'s hood pins was under Truex's bumper. And then on Sunday with Jr. passing cars like they were sitting still. Once he passed two cars in turns one and two, the first on the outside and the second on the inside (I guess those cross matched tires Harry used worked). All you could hear was cheers, even from Gordon fans. Even though Jr. lost the race it was wonderful. Until everyone starting throwing beer cans on the track. I honestly believe that if you take someone who cant stand NASCAR to one race they will be hooked for good. It is more addictive than heroin. I shall be back to see more races in person, one way or another. I cannot wait for Feb 05-the Daytona 500-the Holy Grail of NASCAR. I surely hope to see that Bud chevy in victory lane, but we will have to see.

NASCAR goes International

I almost had a stroke when I first read this truly disturbing news. Jonathan Baum who writes for Yahoo Sports wrote the article that almost killed me. Can you believe that NASCAR is going to run a race in Mexico City next year. I believe that this is only the beginning, because if the almighty dollar, or peso or piso, is there NASCAR will go. Come on guys lets get back to the roots. Please do not take offense to this what ever counrty you popped up from but dammitt NASCAR is ours. Lets keep it that way. Lets get NASCAR back to its roots instead of worrying about the bottom line or the profits of the first quarter. Lets give it back to the hard working Americans who bust their asses all week long or for some all year long just to attend one race so they can get close to their favorite driver, and buy a few T shirts. That is what NASCAR was and should be about now. It makes me so mad to see the uppity don't touch the dirty stuff kind of people getting to sing the national anthem or say those most famous words in racing, gentleman Start Your Engines, so use suckie little whinny ass washed up has beens can be on TV again and be able to hear people cheer for use again. Leann Rhymes, Busta Rhymes, and Lenny( my mommie was on the Jefferson) Kravitz can kiss my ass. Let the local talent show winner or the song leader of The Divine Outreach Ministry of God sing the song. Let the local Boy Scout leader give the command. Dammitt give the true Americans back their sport. I say one, the mafias protection is cheaper and more effective. Think about it. We are told no forced to buy insurance. But the insurance industry is not regulated and they can charge us what ever they want. Actually people who buys new cars are punished, we are forced to pay higher rates than most. And then God forbid we have a claim....our rates go up (as if it was not high enough to begin with), or they cancel you. At least with the mafias protection you actually get something out of the money you pay. The mafia will kick someones ass if they mess with you, where insurance companies go up on your rates. I believe we are better off with the mafia. Anyway this is just my opinion and I have three children and have been married for 14 years, I am used to my opinion being ignored.

Clinton ...My Life

I picked up a copy of Pres. Clintons book today. For 22 bucks it better be good. I am looking forward to reading it, to learning more about Mr. Clinton. I was skeptical of him when he was first elected...but then a true leader emerged from the govenor of Arkansas. I have had many heated discussions with people about Mr. Clinton. As far as his personal problems while in office, he got caught. Who can honestly say there is no dirt in their past? We all have things that haunts us, he got caught so everyone jumped on the band wagon to take the heat off of them. I have done the same thing. I have a great deal of respect for Mr Clinton, I hope to one day meet him and tell him that in person.
